Archived Internships

Minority Access, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) organization, invites post-secondary students to make a difference in society while receiving a bi-weekly stipend and academic credit through its ten-week summer premier internship program. Applications are being accepted for the program, which begins the first week of June and ends the first week of August.  Dates are subject to change.  All interested students must complete the online internship application on our website at www.minorityaccess.org. The following documents must be submitted in addition to the application:  current resume, unofficial transcript, and one reference letter written by a dean, faculty or adviser signed and on official letterhead.  Supporting documents can be sent also to interns@minorityaccess.org.  

To qualify for an internship position through Minority Access, Inc., applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Currently enrolled in a degree or certification program at the undergraduate or graduate level.
2. Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above.
3. Must be willing to travel to the internship site.
4. Must be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer internship period.
5. Must be a sophomore, junior, senior, graduate or professional student.
6. Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or F-1 visa holder that permits employment.
7. Must be able to work in teams or groups.

APPLICATIONS ARE GIVEN PRIORITY BASED ON THE DATE OF RECEIPT.  
APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER MARCH 15, 2015, WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

JOHN LEWIS FELLOWSHIP
Humanity in Action and The National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Inc. are pleased to announce that applications for the John Lewis Fellowship in Atlanta are now open! The program offers American and European university students the opportunity to explore race and civil rights, immigration and Native American issues.

We invite applications from college students and recent graduates who are passionate about active and responsible citizenship, diversity and human rights. Current sophomores, juniors and seniors as well as graduates from the undergraduate classes of 2013 and 2014 are eligible. 

The 2015 program will run from July 5 to August 1, 2015, in Atlanta, Georgia. The deadline to apply for this program is February 14, 2015.
